Watford v Preston
Venue: Vicarage Road Date: Tuesday, 12 February Kick-off: 1945 GMT
TEAM NEWS
Watford are assessing stalwart defender Lloyd Doyley, who missed Saturday's defeat against Burnley after failing a fitness test.
Doyley has been nursing a hamstring problem and could be forced to miss Tuesday's match as well.
Preston are again likely to be without striker Iain Hume, who has also been struggling with a hamstring injury.
On-loan Everton goalkeeper Iain Turner is expected to keep Andy Lonergan out of the side.
MATCH PREVIEW
Bottom side Preston go into their seventh match under Phil Brown still awaiting their first win since he took over as manager, and are running out of time to save themselves from the drop.
North End are without a victory in nine matches in all competitions, and have lost their last three league games without scoring. They are also the only Championship team yet to keep a clean sheet in 2011.
With only one win in 16 matches and two in 20, the Lancashire side are 10 points adrift of safety - and they face leaders Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
Before that they will hope to upset a Watford side that has slipped down to 11th in the table after a run of five matches without a win. The Hornets have lost their last two games and made poor defensive mistakes in Saturday's 3-1 defeat at home to Burnley.
